Engagement Portraits in Princeton NJ

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Rosbel and Morlon on a late summer evening. They are getting married in a few months and wanted to capture some special photos with each other. Look at how adorable these two are!

They had the biggest smiles on their faces all evening!

Before the engagement session, Rosbel and I chatted about her vision. She wanted to keep it casual and in a nice park, possibly with a lake.

I gave her a few options close to home, but I also gave her an option in Princeton NJ. There is a beautiful area called Prospect Gardens.

Prospect Gardens is a well-manicured area, with many flowers and pathways. Although there is no lake, there’s a beautiful water feature in the center of the gardens!

Even though Prospect Gardens is a small area, there is tons of variety! The one-hour session zipped by as we moved from one area to another.

I gave the image below to Rosbel and Marlon as a sneak peek. We joked that the location makes it look like they’re in Paris!

Finding the right location for your session is a huge must. I love that we found the perfect location to match Rosbel and Marlon’s vision for their engagement portraits.

I had so much fun with Rosbel and Marlon. I am grateful they were open to all my silly-sounding posing directions. Trusting in the process and the photographer is important when you’re in front of the lens.

It was so special to capture them being themselves to create amazing memories!
